My hero isn't in comics My hero doesn't have a show on t.v I don't see my hero anymore My hero was a U.S soldier He fought for me, my friends, and our country He was shot in the heart The same heart that loved his country so much he gave his life for it Even though he may be gone Even though no one can see him anymore Even though he rests 10 feet under ground Beneath a soldier's memorial stone He is still with his men Beside them watching over them So no family has to go through the same grieving process He may be gone in the flesh but not in my heart He is still my soldier He is still my hero
